Program 1: Arcade Coding

9:00am – 3:00pm

Price: $120.00

*max 12 participants

Using Make:Code Arcade participants will create their very own arcade style games. They will use a block-based program to create characters (sprites) and a variety of fun games to share with friends and family. This program each participant will receive their very own Micro:bit to use as a controller and take home for further coding beyond the program.

To participate, learners will need to bring their own laptop , lunch and snacks for the day.

What You’ll Learn:

– learn block code using Micro:bit Arcade
– create arcade projects such as animations and games
– understand fundamentals of loops, repetitions and conditional coding concepts

We can’t wait to see what our coders will create with the Microbit!

Program 2: Scratch – App Prototyping and AI

🗓️ Friday 22nd September
9:00am – 3:00pm

📍Kurrambee Myaring Community Centre

Price: $120.00

*max 12 participants

This program is for children with some previous knowledge of coding and looking to apply and extend their understanding. They will learn how to create a basic app prototype and embed elements of AI and Machine Learning to fully customise their very own ‘app’ in Scratch.

To participate, learners will need to bring their own iPad or laptop , lunch and snacks for the day.

What You’ll Learn:

– learn more advanced block coding
– develop an understanding of basic app prototyping and the basics of how AI and Machine Learning work.
– understand fundamentals of loops, repetitions and conditional coding concepts
